Burlington Area Soccer Club

The Mission of the Burlington Area Soccer Club:
The BASC actively promotes the play, knowledge, and development of the sport of soccer in Southeast Iowa. The BASC sponsors recreational leagues and a traveling, competitive program of teams for area soccer players. Our club also supports annual referee clinics and coach licensing clinics. Each year, the BASC hosts two annual soccer tournaments: the BASC Soccer Classic and the BASC Sizzling Sixes.

WHY CHOOSE THE BASC?
Do you love playing soccer?
Do you want to improve your soccer skills?
Do you want to learn how to be a better team player?
Do you want to play with a team of kids who love to play soccer too?
Do you like to have fun?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then BASC is for YOU!
You DO NOT have to be a super-star to join the BASC. You only have
to be at least 4 years old, love to play soccer and want to improve.

Recreational Soccer Leagues

Fall & Spring Leagues

The BASC leagues offer the best recreational soccer leagues in Southeast Iowa.  They offer an 8 game season for all ages in both the Spring (late March-May) and Fall Seasons (September and October).  All games are played on the lush fields of the Burlington RecPlex.
The BASC believes that all players should have the opportunity to have the ball at their feet during the game.  Ball skill development is crucial for the young player.  Thus they have designed our leagues to foster this development.  They play small-sided games up to the U14 age group.  Their belief is that no player should be “lost in the crowd” when learning the game of soccer.

Pee-wee thru U6: 3 vs 3 no goalies
U8: 4 vs 4 no goalies
U10: 6 vs 6 w/ goalies
U12: 8 vs 8 w/ goalies
U14 thru High School: 11 vs 11 with goalies

Sign up now and play in the best soccer league in Southeast Iowa!  The BASC has the best playing fields and the most comprehensive youth soccer training program in the area.  Teams are currently forming for the pee-wees thru U14 age groups.

Interested players should register for the  summer leagues through the Burlington Regional RecPlex.

BASC Elite Traveling Program

Mission: To provide an opportunity for all Southeast Iowa Soccer players to learn the game of soccer in a fun and healthy environment while traveling to compete against teams in the Tri-State Area.

Age Groups:
Boys: U9 -U13
Girls: U9 -U13

Team Size:
U9 and U10 – 8 to 10 players
U11 and U12 – 10 to 14 players
U13 - 14 to 18 players

Team Selection:
U11 an older age groups will be selected from an open tryout.  More than one team per age group may be formed.  The teams will be selected by the Coaching Director with the assistance of the team coach. Open tryouts are not held for the U9 and U10 age groups.  However, a skills assessment session will be held to assist in developing a training program for each team.  The goal of the club is to form as many U9 and U10 teams as possible.  In the case that more players want to participate than can fit on one team, but not enough to form two teams, priority will be given to those players who have previously been part of the Elite Program.
